Hyun Soo graduated from Melbourne University in 2006 received honours. He practiced up in Sydney for six years until he joined our practice in early 2012. Extremely gentle, with a great personality to boot, he has been a welcome addition to the Grey Street Dentist team. Hyun Soo is thorough and therefore takes his time when it comes to the patients concerns. In keeping up with the constant change in techniques and materials, he attends as many courses as he can so we can always give our patients the best of the best.

James graduated from the University of Sydney with a Bachelor of Dentistry in 2014. He started his career in rural Queensland before returning to Sydney and now practices on the Central Coast NSW.

With a passion for continuous learning, James completes over 100 hours of CPD annually, focusing on digital smile design, orthodontics, and implants. His expertise extends to digital workflows, clear aligners, and aesthetic dentistry.

James's commitment to education is evident in his previous role tutoring final-year students at CSU. He has been involved in the General Dental Residency since its inception and has now taken on the role of Clinical Coordinator.

Dr. Fixler completed his Masters of Dentistry at Latrobe University in 2017. Gidon worked in Private general practice in Ballarat and Melbourne for three years before undertaking specialist training in Prosthodontics at the University of Melbourne in 2021. Gidon currently works in Private specialist practice in Melbourne CBD and Geelong. In addition, Gidon is a demonstrator in fixed prosthodontics at the University of Melbourne and Latrobe University. Gidon is the current secretary of the Australian Prosthodontic Society (Victoria) and a co-director of the ITI Study Club Malvern.

Dr Thao is an Oral surgeon practicing in Sydney. After graduating from USyd Dentistry in 2012, she undertook a 4-year Oral Surgery Residency at the Sydney Dental Hospital followed by 4 years in private practice prior to specialising.

She currently works in private practice at the Sydney Prosthodontic Group in Chatswood, and at East Coast Oral Surgery in Pymble and Mona Vale. Thao also holds a senior lecturer position with the University of Sydney and a visiting specialist dental officer role at Nepean Hospital.

Outside of dentistry, Thao enjoys rock climbing and hiking.

Dr Aodhan Docherty

Dr Docherty is a graduate of the University of Sydney Bachelor of Medical Science and Bachelor of Dentistry, completing his studies with honours and a University Medal. He has engrossed himself in postgraduate education becoming alumni of the Fahl Cosmetic Academy, the Kois Academy, completing a two-year orthodontic mini-residency through EODO and the City of London Dental School and has completed a Graduate Diploma in Clinical Dentistry in Oral Implants at the University of Sydney.

Dr Docherty is passionate about mentoring and teaching and is an examiner of the postgraduate Oral Implant Diploma at the University of Sydney.

He believes in a literature based approach to dentistry and is a co-author of the Wiley-Blackwell textbook “Practical Procedures in Implant Dentistry”.

Dr Docherty is a core faculty member and lecturer of the Aesthetic Restorative Grad Dip at the ACDP.

Recognised for his contributions to dentistry he was announced as a fellow for the Pierre Fauchard Academy.

With his mentor and business partner Dr Christopher Ho, Dr Docherty grew a group of dental clinics ‘About Smiles Dental’ from 2014-2022. In late 2022 they merged this group with Genesis Capital backed dental group to form ‘Impression Dental Group’. The group currently has 20+ clinics and a state of the art laboratory. Dr Docherty is the Chief Education Officer and an Alt Board Member for the group.

Currently in private practice in Circular Quay Sydney, he primarily focuses on cosmetic transformations.

In 2023 he founded Stitch Scrubs, a new range of medical apparel for healthcare professionals.
